Tanis: The Exile

Tanis is probably my favorite Vampire out of all Vampire movies out there. He's from the Underworld movie-verse and was featured in both "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans," and "Underworld: Evolution." Unfortunately, Markus killed Tanis in Evolution, and he won't be coming back in the fourth movie on January 20th, 2012.

Tanis was exiled because Viktor wanted to keep him silent about the truth (that Viktor had really killed Selene's family, not Lucian). Viktor had Selene exile Tanis - which she did, unbelieving Tanis' pleas apparently. We also learn that Lucian had made Tanis' 'imprisonment' more 'comfortable' while he was locked down in the former sanctuary. In exchange, Tanis created the UV rounds that would be used by the Lycans in order to eliminate his own kind.

While that seems rather traitorous - I will say this, Tanis was out to get Viktor like Kraven and Lucian - so you can't hold this against him. Tanis helped Sonja and Lucian escape for a position on the council seat, however - Lucian and Sonja were captured. Sonja was killed, and Lucian was left to watch the horrific events as she burnt to death in the daylight.

Anyway, I designed this picture with a Mucha-reminiscient style. I feel it give him character - and oh, yes... Some personal fanservice. (Squee!) PS: Don't know why I think he's dripping with Smexyness - I mean, he's NOT heroic per se but he IS friggin' hot IMO!

Tanis belongs to Lakeshore

PSS: Sorry about pixelization. I upload at a very low resolution JPEG file, because my net is so slow lately...
PSSS: NO HE'S ONLY HALF-NEKKID, and NO NOTHING'S PEEKING OUT OF THAT FALLING CLOTH! *I would have labelled this with a warning if there had been. Thank you.

What is that background design from?

Well, I'm not sure if you mean the cloud background - which I used the cloud brush in photoshop to create, along with a moon brush and a bunch of overlay layers and multiply for a more dramatic skyline, and some star/sparkle brushes for the stars.

The other backdrop - the shape is actually four designs superimposed over intricate linework with some textures inserted from Illustrator into the latticework - which is the same about the frame linework and the bottom linework.

Other than that I've never used this design before in any other of my works, because it is new.
