Look before you guys start killing me with forks and fire torches, I'll explain briefly and QUICKLY why I was not online for more than a month.
School, exams, study, too much study, grades, house problems, inability to use the laptop other than for research use, and a lot of things that involve SCHOOL. :iconmingplz:

Wanna Go For A Ride?

Yup! I decided to sketch my school bus while waiting at Lenape yesterday for the students to commence for the day. I finished the fine shadow and inkwork at home last night.

I thought I'd share it with you. The reason I drew it into my B/W Recycled Sketchbook Journal was because I felt that it was important to have a little bit about me within the journal. (After all - It IS called a "journal" not just a sketchbook).
Inside my journal, I wanted to draw things that are important to me, and what I do, and how I feel about certain things going on in my life from a visual perspective.

For this particular picture, I felt proud that my company assigned me with such a nice, new, spec'd out bus this year. I like working where I work, and working for who I work for. The family is way awesome, funny, and very down-to-earth to talk to. They aren't stuffy business suit company owners who are always barking orders at people, and they practice what they preach -per se- as when we are short on drivers, the company owner will jump into the bus and drive it, in order to cover the run. I actually DO love my job, so I was happy to draw this into my sketchbook journal last night.

Yup, it is! I was formerly driving for Lenape (L23) and Holy Cross (Z09) for two years... but then I got another job offer in Texas that sort of fell through in the end. Now, I'm working on getting my foot in the door for graphic art.

(I also drove this bus for Lenape the year before, for my L25 run... I drove for that school for 7 years in different runs. Gotta say, my Lenape students were always my favorite. You are all awesome! ~My brothers both graduated from Lenape also in '98' & '99,' so yeah, I support LHS. )

THANK YOU! I must have been really bored that day to step outside my school bus and decide to draw it... (well, yeah, that was the last slow week I had until recently)

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. (PS: Now, I just have to find an appropriate picture to draw next to it that relates well... for now it's a toss up between cows -my boss who owns the company is a farmer that owns cows- or a portrait of my boss - if I can get him to sit still for 5 seconds)
